OUR FOUNDER
In 1972, Tony Clevenger made a bold decision to depart from his position at another consultancy to form Clevenger Associates, primarily serving hotel clients like the Hilton Corporation. As his business expanded into new sectors such as universities and healthcare systems, Clevenger sought partnerships, leading to the formation of Clevenger Frable LaValle (CFL) on the East Coast. This enduring collaboration saw Tony relinquishing managerial responsibilities but remaining a partner, engaging in joint ventures.
Additionally, he established Clevenger Nutritional Services, later divesting it. In 1989, Tony relocated to Seattle, closing the Los Angeles office in 1991, only to reopen a Southern California branch in 2015. A pivotal move in 2017 saw Clevenger Associates merging with MVP Services Group, a Midwest-based company, fueling the firm’s growth. Tony’s remarkable journey in the foodservice industry spans over 55 years, marked by his focus on innovation and creativity. He has contributed to over 2000 project assignments throughout the span of his career. He was on the board when Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI) was formed and also served as President of the Society (‘89-‘90). While his career initially focused on hospitality, Tony’s offerings expanded to include Business and Industry, Healthcare, and Government facilities among others. His enduring legacy as a pioneer in the foodservice industry is celebrated and revered, ensuring his impact is felt for years to come.
